Being raised with horses meant they became
my safe haven. My work is defined by horses
that have something to say, asking you to listen.
Mostly working in acrylic I seek out strong
shapes, high-intensity colours and bold
brushstrokes which are guided by emotion, focus
and real life dichotomies. Art is my meditation,
through brushstrokes I breathe.

Upcoming Exhibition:
Starting July 19th ‘my’ Groninger stallions will be stabled at Kunst & Vrijheid in Eenrum.
These Groninger stallions stand at the base of the breed which is why the exhibit is titled ‘de Oorsprong‘. This can be translated to ‘the source’ or ‘the origin’. To me the meaning is twofold: both literally since it celebrates the stallions but it is also about the origins of my love for horses.
The opening is held on the 19th of July from 15:00 – 17:00 with music by TAMAR, writings by Ingeborg Nienhuis and me. Tickets are € 7,50 and can be reserved at info@kunstenvrijheid.nl
For more information and location, see the flyer on the right. I hope to see you there!

Besides being an equine artist, I also work on painting 3D models. These projects are in collaboration with my dad, Peter Pankras, a knowledgable data specialist, and Eyefly B.V., a versatile Groninger company specialized in amongst other things drone mapping. The aim of these 3D models is to combine leading 3D skills with traditional art practice by processing drone data into high detailed digital 3D models. These models are printed and then painted by hand. The results are mesmerizing and far more captivating than a digital 3D model on its own. It becomes art.
